Mission Statement

At The Oceans Organization – A NJ Nonprofit Corporation, we believe that education is the foundation; but true empowerment goes beyond the classroom. We provide school access, tutoring, nutritious meals, mental health support, early career training, and community involvement opportunities to help children break the cycle of poverty and build strong, self-sufficient futures.

What We Do

1. Send 185 Kids to School

We cover full school costs tuition, uniforms, supplies; so children can focus on learning, not surviving.

2. Mental Health Assistance
Trauma and hardship are real. We provide group sessions, one-on-one counseling, and emotional support to help children heal and grow strong. We continue to seek and partnership with individual (s) to better help, in this matter.

3. Tutoring & Academic Support
Our after-school tutoring reinforces reading, writing, and math, building confidence and long-term academic success.

4. Daily Nutrition
Children can’t learn on an empty stomach. We serve hot, healthy meals to every student in our care.

5. Career Skills in Elementary School
We introduce children to practical skills, gardening, sewing, basic carpentry, and more; so they’re ready to earn income early if needed.

6. Community Involvement
Our students take pride in their neighborhoods. They help clean streets and plant trees, learning responsibility, leadership, and love for their country.

Message From Founder

My name is Bruce Israel, and I founded The Oceans Organization with a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves not only access to education, but the support, care, and opportunities needed to truly thrive.

Over the years, I have seen how poverty affects children far beyond the classroom. Hunger, lack of emotional support, limited career exposure, and disconnected communities can quietly stand in the way of even the brightest potential. That is why The Oceans Organization was created—to address the whole child, not just one part of their journey.

We work to ensure that children have access to quality education, personalized tutoring, nutritious meals, mental health resources, and early career training, while also encouraging community involvement and leadership. Our goal is to help young people build confidence, resilience, and the skills necessary to create self-sufficient, meaningful futures.

This organization is rooted in compassion, accountability, and action. Every program we offer is driven by the belief that when children are supported holistically, they don’t just succeed—they uplift families, strengthen communities, and change generations.
